BCC is one of the founding partners of The CAP Bromley Debt Centre. Together with four other Bromley churches, we launched the Bromley CAP Debt Centre in June 2017.
Christians Against Poverty (CAP) exists because nobody should be held hostage by debt and poverty. But the truth is that they are rife in the UK. In a society where people live behind closed doors, thousands are desperately poor. Unable to feed their children, incapable of paying to heat their homes in winter, the grip of poverty is relentless. It breaks families apart and drives many to think that suicide is the only solution.
As a church, we are committed to partner with CAP as we are passionate about releasing people in our community from a life sentence of debt, poverty and their causes. The CAP debt centre is there to tackle poverty head on, to enable individuals who find themselves in financial difficulties to be set free from debt and to have the opportunity to explore a life transforming faith in Jesus Christ.
